Meaningful real-world learning

“An opportunity to do things they might not do during a normal school day”.

This is how Noah, 16 years old, talks about his time as a volunteer for a non-profit organisation in San Diego, California. A real-world learning experience, as opposed to a purely book-based one, allows students to see the world as an active actor, not a bystander, and to improve their skills and their cultural and personal toolkit.
