An evening characterised by sustainability and fun. We can summarise this way the night of 4th July, when the LUISS Grand Ball took place.
The campus was transformed overnight into a mini Expo, filled with street food, cooking shows and a cooking contest in which the products from the LUISS community garden were used. A great occasion to make simplicity uniqueness, and to contribute to create a virtuous circle of solidarity. Part of the revenue, in fact, has been donated to Anffas, an association that promotes the protection of rights for disabled people.
Many guests took part to the event, namely the Chef Gianfranco Vissani, the actors Cesare Bocci, Francesca Ceci, Fortunato Cerlino and Francesco Montanari, the journalist Paolo Notari, who presented the whole night, Giancarlo Magalli, Emma D’Aquino and the Italian singer Edoardo Vianello.
The scope of the event was to consider the themes of Expo and to enhance the sensitivity of students towards a sustainable lifestyle, to impact the least on environment.
All this is in line with the University’s mission, which aims at improving and bring out the creative side of every students, helping them to put it into practice even through interdisciplinary initiatives, that contribute to shape their personality in a more versatile way.
